<message>Well first of all welcome to the new Geo Com Ltd site. It has been some time in the making

All public parts of the site are now fully operational. We have changed the entire site, updated old content and added new content. We hope you find the site in general much easier to use. We have reintroduced the company Blog page into our new site.

This will allow us to push content and updates to you much faster. We have also added Disqus Commenting to the Blog. When we were deciding what commenting system to use, we thought of setting up our own system, but found this prone to spamming, as we used a simple submit form. In the end we settled on Disqus, as all the systems we needed were already set.

This also allows for better user ID's, as account users can then submit a comment onto our site. The same user ID can then be used by the submitter on other sites where they have the same username, or vice versa.

We also just had to add a Captcha to the Contact us page. In most cases these systems are a pain and can stop a user in there tracks. But we were finding that at the end of last year almost all material coming thought the contact system was Spam, which I am sure you would understand was a pain for our system.

<message>You will be interested to know that this project is far from dead. Over the past few years it has been a hobby and therefore has been on the back burner, while I deal with other work. Now that I am working for Geo Com Ltd full time projects such as Geo Com Notebook and Menuola will have updates on the way.

We have been brainstorming some ideas, on how to improve Geo Com Notebook. We now believe the answer awaits the upcoming release of Cocoa within REALBasic, as this is the tool we used to make Geo Com Notebook. When this is released we will be able to implement RTF text documents, which means that you will be able to put pictures into your documents.

We also believe that a rebranding will be needed to be able to better promote our product, as there is a major amount of School based text projects out there. In most cases these products are forced upon Students, by the school.

However there are some products in our package that are better suited to Students than the general public and because of this Geo Com Notebook is likely reintroduced as a separated product. However product discounts will be available if the products are brought at the same time.

So watch out for the new stand alone Geo Com Notebook as a one Window Text Editor.
